Phased Redevelopment of Whitefriars Shopping Centre, Canterbury, Kent

As part of an ongoing rolling programme of development works, within Canterbury city Centre, our Client is involved in construction of a new, central, Whitefriars Shopping complex, which involved Brown & Mason in a, phased, demolition programme, to enable these works to progress.

To date, we have completed 6 Phases of this project, comprising the demolition of a bus garage welfare building, two banks, a pub, a multi-storey car park, offices, retail outlets and the existing shopping centre atrium area. The contract also included minor asbestos removal from each phase, the soft strip of all internal materials and demolition to the underside of slab on certain elements.
