Health, Safety and TrainingTotal Safety ManagementDemolition has always been recognized as a hazardous occupation, it is our aim at Brown and Mason to ensure that the associated risks are kept to an absolute minimum.
With each site being visited at least once per week by one of our two full time safety officers, Alex Hadden and Alan Jones, and with each major site having it’s own resident safety officer the standard of safety on Brown and Mason sites is second to none. “It is the policy of this Company to give the Health, Safety
& Welfare issues of our employees and all others who come into contact
with our operations the highest priority. As a minimum standard the
Company will undertake works strictly in accordance with the provisions
of all current legislation and regulations. This will ensure as far
as reasonably practical that adequate protection is provided against
the risk of accident, injury and unnecessary exposure to hazards and
risks.”
Acting as Planning Supervisor, Principal Contractor or Sub-Contractor our quality controlled documented systems comply fully with The Construction, Design and Management Regulations 1999. We are also in the process of attaining accreditation to international standard ISO18001. We have undergone rigorous external auditing to be twice awarded the British Safety Council’s 5 STAR award for our Health & Safety Management System. We have also, for the second time, recently been awarded the British Safety Councils prestigious Sword of Honour, which is recognised as the pinicle of safety achievement. Our exemplory safety record has been recognized recently by two of our clients.
